Stadium regulations

The Hallenstadion is the largest multifunctional indoor venue in Switzerland. The Hallenstadion is known far beyond the country's borders as a venue for various major events, for events with world stars from pop, rock, entertainment and culture, as well as for sporting events. The stadium regulations define the rules for visitors and ensure the smooth running of events.

Promoter The organizer of the event is deemed to be the promoter. He is designated on the tickets for an event.

Scope of application

These regulations apply to all AGH and HG employees, to employees of third-party service providers, to employees of promoters and those working on their behalf, and to all visitors to the Hallenstadion.

They apply to the entire perimeter of AGH and apply in particular to the indoor area such as the arena, foyer, walkways, restaurant rooms and all ancillary rooms as well as the surrounding area such as the east and west forecourts and the north staging area.

The promoter

The responsible organizer of the event is deemed to be the promoter. He is obliged to present himself to the outside world as the organizer.

Order and security

Visitors must comply with the instructions of the security personnel and employees of AG Hallenstadion at all times.
The setting off of fireworks of any kind in the Hallenstadion is strictly prohibited.

The dissemination of slogans and views that glorify violence, racism or xenophobia, as well as discrimination against population groups in any way is prohibited.

Masks are prohibited in the Hallenstadion.

The personal details of visitors who disregard the stadium regulations or disobey the instructions of the stewards/security may be recorded by them. The stewarding service/security is entitled to detain persons to record their personal details or until the arrival of the police.

The organizer and AGH are entitled to confiscate tickets and accreditations in the event of gross violations and to expel the offending visitors from the Hallenstadion.

AG Hallenstadion reserves the right to enforce violations of the stadium regulations in court, to impose stadium bans and to hold the offending persons liable for any damage caused.

Measures

Video surveillance

For the safety of visitors, the Hallenstadion and the outdoor areas are monitored by video. The recordings can be made available to third parties, in particular law enforcement authorities, if required.

Checks and searching

For security reasons, security checks are carried out at the entrance and, if necessary, visitors’ bodies are searched.

Prohibited items / drop-off point for prohibited items

The following items are prohibited in the Hallenstadion:

  • Food of any kind
  • All drinks in glass bottles, aluminum bottles (e.g. Chilly’s Bottles), cans, PET and tetra containers;
  • Gas spray cans, coloring, corrosive or otherwise harmful substances;
  • Drugs
  • Liquids in glass, cans and other containers
  • Professional photo cameras, video cameras and recording devices of any format, selfie sticks;
  • Laptops, tablets
  • Weapons of all kinds, objects that can be used as weapons or projectiles, laser pointers
  • Large sports bags, bags or large rucksacks (>DIN A4)
  • Sports equipment such as roller skates or kickboards
  • Banners, signs larger than A2 and flags with poles longer than 1 meter
  • Fireworks, sparklers, smoke petards, other pyrotechnic and Bengali items including launchers
  • Animals
  • Objects, items of clothing and/or media with racist, xenophobic, violence-glorifying or discriminatory imprints or content

This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented by AGH or the respective organizer and displayed at the entrances. The currently valid list can be viewed at any time at our website.

Prohibited items can be deposited and collected at the self-service containers or at the drop-off points East and West in the outdoor area for a fee. No liability is accepted for any valuables deposited.

Cloakrooms and lost & found office

AGH offers partially guarded and unguarded checkrooms. In any case, it accepts no liability whatsoever for valuables left in the cloakrooms.

AGH operates an internal lost and found office. If the owners of the items cannot be identified immediately, the items will be disposed of after one month. Exceptions are Driver’s licenses go to the Road Traffic Office. Official identity cards go to the Zurich Passport Office.

Entrance

Admission to the Hallenstadion for all events is only permitted with valid identification (ticket, season ticket, accreditation).

Tickets and accreditations must be kept until the end of the event and presented to the security services on request.

Smoke-free stadium

In accordance with § 48 of the Health Act of the Canton of Zurich, the entire Hallenstadion Zurich is smoke-free. The consumption of cigars, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-vapes, etc. is only permitted in the designated areas.

Supplementary rules of the organizer

The organizer may define additional rules.

Visitors to sporting events must also comply with the regulations of the respective sports associations regarding order and safety in the stadiums.

These regulations can be viewed or obtained from the respective organizer or sports association.

Commercial activities

Commercial activities, the distribution or sale of printed matter or advertising objects, the holding of advertising campaigns, the displaying of flyers, posters or banners, signature campaigns or demonstrations are only permitted on the perimeter of the Hallenstadion with the prior express written permission of AGH.

Image and sound recordings

All persons entering the Hallenstadion premises acknowledge that they are attending a public event and agree that sound and image recordings may be made of them free of charge in connection with the event by the venue operator, the event organizer or their agents and that these recordings may be used free of charge by the venue operator, the event organizer or third parties for the purpose of live broadcasts, broadcasts, publication and/or recordings in all current and future media.

Sound and image recordings by visitors in connection with events are only permitted for private purposes and exclusively with devices that are clearly intended for private use only in terms of their equipment and size. Any other use of these recordings, disclosure of the recordings beyond the private sphere to third parties or publication in the media requires the prior express consent of AGH.

The organizer is entitled to issue additional regulations on sound and image recordings.

Validity

These stadium regulations come into force immediately and replace all previous editions.
